She’s an upcoming designer that you need to keep a look out for. Canadian born, london-based footwear designer, Anastasia Radevich, has been in the spotlight with her FW 2010 ‘Biofuture’ collection. The recent London College of Fashion graduate may be new to the playground with this first collection, but don’t be fooled! Anastasia has extensive footwear experience having gained work experience from both Alexander McQueen and Nicholas Kirkwood. Her collection was also showcased and sold at the London retailer ‘Wolf and Badger’ in February 2010.

Inspiration: Sea Urchins from Under the Sea.

The ‘Biofuture’ collection screams eccentric creativity with strong references to out-of-this-world creatures, in particular, sea urchins found under the sea. The heel of each shoe features sculptured architectural shapes providing a fantastical ‘Atlantis’ sort of feel to the wearer. Even the color palette, with its shades of sea blue, grey, and seaweed green, is inspired by the ocean’s natural color scheme. We’ve decided that this premiere collection of Anastasia Radevich is definitely worth discovering, so DIVE in!
